Dear Students and Parents,

Everyone here is happy to celebrate the conclusion of all state testing!  Our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders worked hard on MSA Math and Reading.  5th graders then had the pleasure of participating in the electronic version of MSA Science.  Our 1st and 2nd graders even got in on the fun with SAT 10.  Although every student was very prepared for the assessments, we unfortunately have to make many changes to daily schedules during assessments.  We are all so glad to be back on our regular schedules!
We’re also happy to welcome the warm weather.  That also means a change in school clothing.  Please review the school dress “code” listed below.  If you have any questions, please give us a call.

  • No flip-flops.  Your child is much safer on our playground when he/she wears tennis shoes.
  • Shorts and skirts should be long enough to completely cover your child’s bottom!  Keep in mind, elementary children are active – short shorts and mini skirts are often too revealing.
  • Girls should wear tops that cover their bellies.
  • Keep in mind, once the air conditioning is turned on it often gets cool in classrooms.  A sweater or sweatshirt can be left in the classroom for emergencies.

We hope everyone has a safe, happy summer.  Barnes & Noble and other local book stores always have wonderful summer reading programs and/or visit the local library or Book Mobile!
                                      Sincerely,
                                                Ms. Wilson
