Counselor: Mrs. Karen Fisher

 

Our Counselor


The school counselor is a full time professional at Vienna Elementary School who provides services to students, parents, and teachers.  Mrs. Karen Fisher provides the following services:

  • Individual counseling – when students are self, teacher, parent or staff referred.
  • Group counseling – topics such as study skills, changing families, friendship, social skills and orientation for new students, are addressed.
  • Classroom counseling – teaching topics which include:  bullying prevention, study and test taking skills, stress management, communication skills, tolerance, etc.
  • Parent support – which includes parent conferences, referrals to community and private agencies, parenting information and workshops.
  • Special Vienna Elementary Programs include:
    • Student Ambassadors
    • Be a Vienna HERO
    • Peer Mediation
    • Thumbs Up – we caught you being good!
